The bill includes "…anti nudity restriction, limitation of hours of operation, interior configuration requirements, and requirements that adult entertainment establishments and their employees obtain licenses or permits to operate as, or to be employed by an adult entertainment establishment." According to a memo issued by Russ Erby, Promotional Manager for Lion's Den in Ohio, "The minority is attempting to legislate the morality of the majority by removing our constitutional right to choose where and when we spend our time and money." Topco Sales® is committed to supporting Lion's Den Adult Superstores, Trans World News, the Free Speech Coalition (FSC) and the Buckeye Association of Club Executives (B.A.C.E.) in the effort. Signatures from 241,366 registered voters are needed before September 4th to place the law on hold pending the referendum. "If this law passes in Ohio it could start a precedence that will potentially affect other states. Don't think that this doesn’t have far-reaching ramifications.
