Another HARD Day at the Office

Yes... it was another hard day at the office... A few members of the Art Department and I assisted Topco Sales' Art Director Marianne Lovett on a two day photo shoot for the company's upcoming catalog.

It was a steamy day in Culver City, but it was even hotter inside the studio where we spent two long, hard days shooting thousands of pictures of beautiful people - just one of the many perks of working for one of the largest adult novelty manufacturers. It's not ALL hair nets and closed-toe shoes!

The first male model we shot was Anthony Nelson. He's incredibly sweet, with amazing abs (of course) and a bright white smile. Anthony is an up-and-comer – he just shot a huge campaign for Macy's. You can't quite put your finger on his exotic good looks.

Topco Sales' photo shoots are very sexy events. Often the female models are a few of the beauties from the adult industry paired with male models that aren't in the adult industry, like Anthony Nelson. Anthony had never done such a sensual photo shoot before. It was a tough day for him: he had to roll around on a 50's white leather couch with Penthouse goddess, Laura Lee.

After we got the shot we needed and Laura got off Anthony, he stood up and said, "I need a cigarette!" Everyone laughed.

Laura Lee is a rising star in the "biz" and we were delighted that she was also an incredible high fashion model. It was amazing to watch Laura Lee, Georgia Jones and Ashlyn Page transform from high fashion models into sassy, sexy, perky models as Marianne directed them for each new look.

During a little down time, we had fun with Marianne's iMac photo booth.

Dominic Figlio, of the notorious Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency reality show, was a doll to work with. He was somewhat quiet and shy when he first got to the studio, but as the Red Bull kicked in, he became more relaxed. We've used him a few times before on other photo shoots and we're always pleased with his abs, I mean, his work.

The shoot got even more fun when I found some batteries and revved up a few of the sex toys we had on hand for product shots. I turned the climax® rabbits clear bunny bullet on "high" and stuck it in the photographer's arm pit. He jumped and squirmed and said in his French accent, "Ooooh! It give me a hard on!"

The hair stylists completely cornered me, asking me all kinds of questions about what each vibe does and where they could buy the toys we manufacture.
