Global Orgasm Day corresponds yearly with the winter solstice, this year falling on Sunday, December 21st. Basically it is an international event sponsored by a non-profit organization called Baring Witness. The idea is pretty basic; everyone all over the world has an orgasm at the same time. That is one big O!

According to the website GlobalOrgasm.org, "Our minds influence matter and quantum energy fields, so by concentrating our thoughts during and after the Big O on peace and partnership, the combination of high orgasmic energy combined with mindful intention for peace could reduce global levels of violence, hatred and fear."

Ahh, okay. I say any excuse to have an orgasm is good enough for me. And if it helps create world peace, then that's just icing on the cake!

Since there are people all over the world looking for a way to get off on December 21st, what do you say we help them with some sex toy promotions! Retailers can tap into the Global Orgasm Day market with specials on toys to help participants achieve their orgasm. Celebrating the quirky event also helps cut through the holiday sales clutter. Topco Goes to Hollywood to celebrate Hustler Store's 10th Anniversary!

Twelve years ago, I met Larry Flynt. He was signing my copy of An Unseemly Man. I have no idea what he said to me as I was too star struck to listen. But I have what he wrote. Which was just his name. But hey, it's still a damn good book and it's signed by the man who made free speech fashionable. After that day, I fell in love with all things Hustler. I read the magazine - in your face politics mixed with in your face (on your back, against your crotch) sexuality. And soon after, I found the bright and shiny Hustler Hollywood Store. When the store opened in 1998, I drank their coffee, went to their book signings, I painted practically naked models with Liquid Latex. I did whatever Hustler Hollywood's calendar asked me to do. So when I heard the 10 year anniversary was being celebrated, I was as excited as a housewife who just made Beaver Hunt.

The Hustler Hollywood store on the famous Sunset Strip celebrated their tenth year on December 3rd. There was a sale and free flowing champagne. Oh so dangerous! And the men and women of Hustler film fame were mingling with the myriad of guests. It was just like old times. Larry signed anything thrown in front of him while flanked by Hustler's hottest and horniest: January 2009 Hustler Honeys Riley Evans and Daisy Marie. One of our molded stars, Marco Banderas, was there, too, larger than life and even hotter in person.

Hustler Hollywood (Sunset) is the flagship store of ten locations throughout the country. I would call Hustler Hollywood a sex store, but really, the expansive, trendy, celebrity spotting boutique is more of a mini-mall. You got the coffee shop, the books, the magazines, the clothes, the hot lingerie, the huge video collection and, of course, the toys. Nothing is hidden. Nothing is "back room." So on that note, I must say I loved the ten year celebration of this grand establishment but, even more, I love the celebration that Hustler Hollywood has every day – a celebration of open and embraced sexuality.
